Who Needs a Tourist Visa to Visit Tanzania?

Most international visitors require a tourist visa to enter Tanzania, with a few exceptions. Travelers from East African Community (EAC) countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan enjoy visa-free entry.

Before you travel, it’s important to verify your visa eligibility by checking the official Tanzania Immigration website or contacting the nearest Tanzanian embassy or consulate.

If your country is not listed among visa-exempt nations, you must apply for a Tanzanian tourist visa before your arrival or obtain one at the port of entry.
